Attorneys Insurance Mutual Celebrates 25 Years

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Attorneys Insurance Mutual of the South, Inc., Risk Retention Group ("AIM"), announces that on July 1, 2014, it will celebrate its 25th anniversary. AIM commenced operation in 1989 when attorneys were having difficulty obtaining lawyers malpractice insurance through large publicly traded insurance companies. It was capitalized through the support of over 3,000 attorneys. AIM repaid all capitalization debt by 2007. It is a direct writer of legal malpractice insurance with the goal of providing quality coverage, stable rates and unequaled service to its insureds. Initially insuring Alabama attorneys, it expanded in 2011 to also insure Tennessee attorneys. AIM plans special events during 2014 for its insureds in celebration of its successful 25 years. It operates from its corporate office in Birmingham, Alabama.
